Piggy Back Ride

What a great time as always at another Schreiner gathering.
What a blessing it is each time we get together as the family continues
to grow.

Darren's Goal???????

Well, I guess Darren will never be able to live Grandma's comment down. As you can see, he has finally decided that his goal in life is to learn how to dance. Here is Darren practicing his moves with Sarah doing the Cha Cha slide at his works Christmas party. Darren would also like to apologize to everyone for selling grandma's house out from underneath her!

The next Schreiner generation of boys. How they dominate this family.

We won't say what David is doing in this picture. It's a male Schreiner thing!!!

Christmas in Escondido

The extended Schreiner family got together this year at our house. Here are a couple of shots of prayer time before the Mexican feast. It was a beautiful day which made the back yard the perfect spot for all to dine. After dinner we went down to our church ball field and played frisbee, rode bikes and played ball with the kiddos. We later gathered for a retelling of the Chrismas story. Grandma Schreiner took over the time when she asked Darren what his goals were. (We never got a straight answer from Darren. So, Darren, what do you want to be when you grow up?) When the sun went down we fired up the outdoor fireplace for some story telling. Uncle Chris won the prize, which is not unusual. We missed those who are out of state but otherwise had just about all here. It was a pleasure having the Schreiner clan down but we are pleased that we are now off the hook for the next several years while the sibblings get to host the mob :-)

Dave, Jill, and Sequoia Update

Hello Schreiner Family! I love this idea. Things are great here in Maryland. It is acutally in the 60's today! Dave, Sequoia and I were able to go to California during December this year. It was so great to be with our immediate family. Unfortunately we missed the Big Schreiner family get together by about a week. While home in Escondido, we all went to the beach, Balboa Park and of course one of our favorite mexican restaurants, Tio Leo's. Below is a picture that Seth took of us at the beach.

Back in Maryland we had a fun Christmas with Daves family. We tried doing a progressive dinner this year. It went really well. We had a house that served appetizers, one that did the main meal and then one more that served dessert. Below is a picture of the Lewis Family

Sequoia is doing really well. She is almost 11 months old. Not walking yet, but will soon be. I will post a couple of pictures of her. Love you all and hope to hear about you all soon.
